https://store.steampowered.com/	Steam's version of Sacrifice is modified to run on win10 and has patch 3 applied. The forum is fairly active considering Sac's advanced age.
https://www.gog.com/	GOG's version of Sacrifice is modified to run on win10, has patch 3 applied, and has no digital rights management. The forum doesn't get much traffic.
sacrificeplanet.net/ 2012	Captures exist for as late as 2017. But this capture appears to be more nearly complete.
gamespot guide 2007	I started a review of the Sac resources captured by the wayback machine, but it seems lost. I'll add links if I find or re-create it.

sacrificepatch3.exe is NOT for programs from Steam or GOG.

It is for versions of Sacrifice installed from an original CD (circa ~2002). The actual use cases are almost non-existent these days, since

It is VERY difficult to run the original program on Win10
the patch doesn't work on my plain vanilla Wine install

But if you have a CD you either a) intend to install on an old XP machine, or b) you have the knowledge to make it work under Wine, and c) you lost your copy of sacrificepatch3.exe, you're in the right place!
